Happy Mothers Day!

Sorry it is late, and it won't be along post, because I was thinking about it and I could express to you how much I love you (which I do) and how much you mean to me (which you do) and how much you have taught me (which you have), but I think I have found a phrase that envelopes all those ideas and you and I may be the only ones that get it, but here it is.....

"Gum mommy?"
then for the next 5 mintues with my hand outstretch,
"Gum mommy? Gum mommy?"

Thanks for that piece of gum right out of your mouth, I know that there's nothing you would not do for me =) Thanks for the love you always show even when I am being a persistent annoying little thing.
Love you!

I love you so much!

Tulip Festival

I love tulips. They are by far the best flower out there.  But over spring break Zach took me on a date and he took me to the Tulip Festival. It was beautiful, and a surprise (he loves me) =)
But I love tulips for multiple reasons. One, they come in almost every color and any color combination. Second: They are one of the first marks of Spring. Third:  They are just a happy flower  And fourth: They always remind me of being little again when my mom would plant her tulips only to have them promptly picked and gifted to her by little me or Lisa each year. Love you mom, and when I saw all the tulips it was my first instinct to pick every single bulb and send them to you.
But anyways, I loved walking through the fields of flowers.  Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, so the pictures are a little hazy because they were taken on the phone, but you can still see how pretty the flowers are!

This one is just kind of marching to its own drum =)

So manly.
(side note: Zach fought taking pictures all day, he insisted that I be in each picture and that being a guy you cant take a picture by a field of flowers.  But after some persuasion and persistence I got him to take some so here he is still manly by a field of flowers)

Hi! I'm Barbie, wait, I mean....Lori....

So over Christmas I dyed my hair a reddish brown color and it was fun for the Winter but since Spring is coming I was super anxious to dye my hair back to blonde.  So I went and got it cut and then had Lisa highlight it.  Well the first time we did it the blonde did not really come through so we went back and got a blonde kit and decided that since it did not come through while just highlighting it that I should just put the blonde all over.....big mistake.  It hurt so bad! Bleach is literally the worst and it came out neon orange much to my dismay.  But over spring break I went in and had them tone it which takes out the orange, so now my plan is to remain Barbie blonde, grow it out and never touch it again.

But here is the memory regardless...enjoy =)

Then after they took the orange out:

So now my plan is to just let it grow, roots and all until the blonde is out of it enough that my natural color is long enough to cut the blonde off and then never cut it again.
