" #timeslowdown "

Just to address the title of this blog real quick. A " # " is a way of connecting things on social media. And one of the most popular hastags I see among my peers who have recently entered the realm of parenthood is " #timeslowdown. I always see this and think, "Are you nuts, why on earth would you want time to slow down with your baby?! Time please speed up to where this little person doesn't eat so much and so often while not interacting with me."
But within the last few weeks I kind of get why my friends have posted this hashtag.  I find myself actually seeing Beckham as my son (not this little mooch) and knowing that he will never be like this again. While it is so fun watching him grow, it is also accompanied with a brief sad moment but quickly replaced with awe, amazement and excitement.
So while I still do not wish for time to slow down I also don't wish for time to speed up either anymore. I love just watching him learn all the new things there are to learn.
