17 weeks 3 days

I cannot believe that I am only 3 weeks away from being half way! After the first trimester time really flies, this baby will be graduating high school before I know it...crazy crazy. But let's see, I have been feeling infinitely better, but I have allergies now and the because of that I have a hard time sleeping and the post nasal drip has given me a sore throat (I know, super appealing to think about) but besides that and the occasional queasy moments I don't have anything to complain about.

In the recent weeks though I have decided that I cannot not find out the gender of my little one, or at least I can't wait till birth to do it. I think labor will be enough of a surprise for one day, and Zach, though he still is fine with not finding out, he is ok with knowing in three weeks too and that day is June 16 =).

You guys have to email your responses to mom before then, you know how with every grand baby we always guess when the due date is, the weight of the baby, how long the baby is and what gender it is, well I would also like to do that for my little one so if you could all answer those questions and send it to mom via email that would be greatly appreciated. Here is the information that you need that could be helpful in your guesses.

 Official Due Date: Halloween 2015

My guesses
Due Date: October 15th or 17th
Height: I dont even know what a normal height of a baby is...so 21 in will be my guess
Weight: 6.8
Gender: Boy

Zach's guesses
Due Date: October 11
Height: he had no clue either
Weight: 6.7
Gender: Boy

And according to all the gender predictor myths out there....
This is the Chinese Calendar, supposedly has a 90% accuracy rate at predicting the gender of your child. You take your age and the month you conceived and voila! Gender predicted. So according to this I am having a boy. Age 23 and Month February.

Other myths:

Chinese Calendar
Carrying: Low
Baby Heart Rate 153 bpm
Ring on a String
Bad Skin (breakouts)
Sleep on my Right
Craving Orange Juice
 Morning Sickness
No energy

So there you have it, Girl: 5 Boy: 4 (but again, these are just fun myths)

Today we were able to go to our third appointment. I love going to those, I always wake up so early on days I have my appointments, and even though today we just heard the heart beat again and took my regular ol' stats, I like hearing that my little bean is still in there and that I am expanding at a normal rate.

Here are my stats: (ones from previous time included)

Pre-symptomatic pregnancy stats:
My weight: 136 lbs.

First Appointment (9 weeks 4 days) stats:
Baby heart beat: 180
My weight 130 lbs.

Second Appointment ( 13 weeks 3 days) stats:
Baby heart beat: 158
My weight: 127 lbs.
My bp: 101/62

Third Appointment (17 weeks 3 days) stats:
Baby heart rate: 153
My weight: 135
My bp: 107/68

Alright non baby talk:
This Memorial Day Zach and I drove an hour and a half to the beautiful town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, he had never been and I think it is worth the trip. We enjoyed the scenery and the window shopping (I always hope I run into Harrison Ford...but i didn't.)

This was a $645 dollar hand stitched Alaskan hat...I did not wear it very long because we were getting the stink eye from one of the store workers.

And of course Farley being Farley:
He is way too heavy to be sleeping on my chest

Look at the poise of those feet

13 Weeks and 6 days

So I assume most of my posts now a days we be about my pregnancy for a couple of reasons.
1. Documenting things is good,
2. I have never done pregnancy before so it is all new and exciting and,
3. It'll be fun to have it remembered.
So I hope you can all continue to enjoy my blog as I document my remaining 6 months.

First Trimester: I MADE it....oh my goodness. What a miserable 6 weeks I went through (though I cant complain too much because many women feel terrible for so much longer).
I told my mom that I was pregnant around 4 weeks and around 6 ish I told her that I did not feel pregnant because I wasn't having any of the tell tell signs besides sore bosoms and exhaustion, but I should have kept my mouth shut because by week 7 the morning, afternoon, and evening sickness came and did not stop till week 13.

I didn't think I was going to make it through finals, let alone the entire day. But with the constant comfort of Zach and one very teary, tired, and sick of being sick phone call to my mom I did make it through. I have not thrown up now for about a week. It has been amazing. The exhaustion still exists, but I am grateful for that ailment.

I am finally starting to eat healthy as well. My first trimester consisted of mainly poptarts and gatorade, the only two things that would stay down much to my own horror. But this past week I have been slowly integrating good foods into my diet. I eat about half a cantaloupe or pineapple a day which makes me feel so much better. I am also exercising daily, though at a slow pace and even less intensity. I am also finally back at work and school and while I am happy to be at work, I am anxious to be done with school, but 12 weeks and counting to graduation!

I just recently had my second appointment, the one where I get to hear the heart beat of my little bean. So cute! It was absolutely amazing and very fun to hear. My doctor also confirmed that I am indeed starting to show, even though it is a little, I feel huge! I can only imagine how I will feel at week 30...

Also something fun I would like to include is my own personal stats, again you don't have to read these, but it is fun for me to compare as little bean and I go along in this journey.

Pre-symptomatic pregnancy stats:
My weight: 136 lbs.

First Appointment (9 weeks 4 days) stats:
Baby heart beat: 180
My weight 130 lbs.

Second Appointment ( 13 weeks 3 days) stats:
Baby heart beat: 158
My weight: 127 lbs.
My bp: 101/62

Non baby talk! My boss brought over a new little toy for Farley because her cats were not playing with it, Farley loved it! He played with it for about an hour straight.
Then this is after he was done playing with it...he just passed out =)
