Surgery Number....well I actually don't know what number...

Well this Christmas, like many of my Christmas's past I had surgery during the break. I retore my medial meniscus on Halloween along with my lateral meniscus, so I went in got the MRI, finalized the diagnosis and scheduled my surgery for yesterday.
It actually went really well and the situation turned out to be the best for the situation, and what I mean by that is that everything was absolutely free because of the deductible that was met this year because of Lisa's surgery earlier in the year (so thanks ;) ). But my CRNA (nurse anesthetist) gave me some awesome nausea medicine so I haven't thrown up once and have only gotten nausea about twice. It also did not take me hours to come out the anesthesia, Zach said it only took about 30 minutes which is a miracle for me. So my CRNA just did a really good job, and I am not super groggy, a little bit by not a ton right now.
The surgery was to repair both meniscus's and clean out some of the arthritis. It was minimally invasive, just a scope and I will only have to use crutches for about 3 days and then I walk based on how I feel and no PT!
So yes I know it may have been dumb for me to play soccer this one last season, but it has been such a big part of my life for so long I don't regret playing this year at all. I had so much fun and I ended on a really competitive game where I scored twice, so as dumb as all of yall probably felt I was being I just want you all to know I dont regret it and I do own up to it, and finally I am officially done with soccer for good =) So if you have any other good suggestions let me know!
But here is my day yesterday, Zach took a very detailed account of the day because mom would have disowned if he didnt =) he is a wonderful nurse.

On the way to the hospital, 8:00am

My hospital room...only in Idaho would this miral be on the wall of a hospital =)

In my lovely hospital gown
I.V. in, I only slightly hyperventilated when they injected the numbing solution into me , but it was great because I did not feel the I.V go in at all because of the numbing solution
Just waiting for the CRNA to come talk to me and wheel me back
Don't remqemebr this, wheeling me back to surgery and on that 'happy juice"
"Happy Juice" kicks in a lot more
post-op...lovely eh?
Finally back at home around 1p.m very groggy and very tired, some pain but not nauseous.
Zach is wonderful!
