December 2018

December rang in our every day moments: reading, brushing teeth, how we wipe beckham's bum, bath shenaningans ect.

We were also lucky enough to have familiar faces come visit at the beginning of the month for a few days.

Then a week before Christmas we had a fun ER visit for Zach. Poor thing had gallbladder issues. Thankfully after a night and day in the hospital we were sent home ok, and thankfully Barbara and Roland watched Beckham so it was just me having to "enjoy" the ER.

Earlier that Fall we signed Beckham up for soccer class--Turk Tikes, such a cute class and a fun way to expend energy on cold wintery days.

Then finally came the time for Christmas festivities.

Then finally, Santa came! He came to Papa Joe and Grandmother's house. He came to our house and because of our hospital visit Zach was excused from working Christmas, Santa was able to come to Gigi and Papa's house.

And to end a beautiful month and beautiful season was a snow day.

November 2018

As always we started off November celebrating my new 3 year old (3 years...what?!)

And then since he was an official "big boy" at the ripe ol' age of three we decided to give potty training a go the next week. I found that I had to be as ready as he was. That process took a few months for me to really want to do it, be prepared to do it and then not go back. Beckham didn't really show any signs but at three he was communicating pretty well so we figured why not.

It took a lot of persuasion and patience the first day...

And encouraging words from me and to me....

And lots of bribery...cars, marshmallows, stickers and movies

BUT he finally got the hang of it a couple days later and proudly wears his big boy undies around the house.

After a week of staying inside and close to the house (for the fear of accidents) I finally felt brave enough to go on walks and bike rides again.

Then as always we were able to celebrate Thanksgiving festivities with family and friends.
