Vacation Part Two: Beach House

After a few days in North Carolina we, (Lisa, Zach and I) headed to the beach house. Once we got there we got it all up adn running for Zach's parents and Mom, Dad, Katie and Topher who were coming in the next few days.
Once everyone had arrived we had sooo much fun! I am not sure why I enjoyed this trip so much, but it was a lot of fun to go to the beach and just enjoy the surf, the sun, fishing and playing "Oh Heck!" at night with everyone. So thanks to everyone who made it so enjoyable. =)
(Side Note: The pictures keep coming out formatted weird so to see them in normal format just click on them and go through them when they are big)

North Carolina

Zach and I finally made it through the semester and we left to go on our way to our much deserved vacation.
The first stop after we landed in Atlanta, was North Carolina to hang out with the grandparents and just be around. =)
It mostly rained while we were in North Carolina, but we did not care...we were on vacation! So Lisa, Topher, Zach and I went for a walk in the rainy woods.

Biggest Winner

This semester I had the opportunity to be able to be an intern for a program on campus called the "Biggest Winner" basically it is exactly the same type of program as the Biggest Loser but we just use a different name.  There are two interns per team, a trainer and a wellness coach.   I was the wellness coach who helps with there nutrition and my trainer that I worked with was a guy named Kent John.  Each team has 8 people on it and then we work with them for 10 weeks with nutrition and workouts to help them lose the weight.
Well we had the closing social tonight and it went awesome.  We won!!! Our team, the blue team, won the entire contest and we had the top 1, 2 and 4th people on our team with the most weight loss and % body weight change.
(Also I could not figure out how to put these before and after pictures at the bottom of the post, but oh well... enjoy!, and at the end of the page are two graphs, just click on them to make them bigger if you want to see the numbers!)

Happy Fourth!

Zach and mine's Fourth of July weekends have usually been terrible ones.  Since we met in 2011 we have yet to experience a "go according to plan" Fourth of July.  In 2011, Zach and I were just friends, but I got mad at him the day before the fourth and we did not talk to one another for about 2 weeks after.  In 2012 I was in Utah at BYU and we did not talk, and he was dating some other girl.  In 2013 we broke up two weekends before and spent our forth sad and alone. (yuck...)
But this year we thought that for sure nothing could go wrong.  We are very happily married so there would be no chances of other people or breaking up...but still things did not go according to plan.

We wanted to spend the day out in the sun so we looked up some hikes and found a hike only an hour a way  in Driggs, Idaho,  it was a hike to a waterfall and a wind cave.  So we packed up our lunches and drove the way there. It was a beautiful hike!

So we got almost to our destination, but as you can see we got caught in the rain and then the hail so we promptly turned around and headed back down.
Our fourth plans may have not quite gone according to plan, but as dad always says, we made a memory none the less =)
