Big Surprise

Well since I have told almost all of my family and only extended family looks at my blog I think it is ok if I share my happy news.

Needless to say we are very excited to be parents!
It was shocking at first, but I think whether you expect it or not it will always be shocking, because frankly it is a miracle.
But here is the story of how we found out, sorry if it is TMI. When I was late I took two pregnancy tests and they both  came out negative and I thought to myself ok, well maybe my body is just regulating itself.  So a week later I was sitting at work and kept getting hot flashes and dizzy spells and i knew something was up, even though I did not think I was pregnant because I had already gotten two negative tests. But I decided to test one more time. So I went down to the bookstore and bough one of those dollar tests and took it and low and behold...

...those two little pink line appeared, you can see how startled I am because I am shaking and my shoes are all blurry. So I walk back to work in a daze and try to finish out the last two hours of my shift as undistracted as possible. Finally my shift ended and  walked to the gym to tell Zach. I told him as we were walking to the car and he promptly told me, "No you're not...". I insisted that I indeed was and showed him the test. He got so happy and gave me big hug and kiss and we couldn't stop talking about it the rest of the evening.

Well a week later I told my mom and dad and swore them to secrecy at four weeks. They did a wonderful job at keeping it a secret, even when Christie would talk about who would have a kid next, though Lori would not be the next one because she is going to finish school first ;)

We decided to tell Zach's parents in person since they were coming from New Jersey to his graduation and since it would be there first grandchild.  Since I can't write about it as well as it is shown Ill just post the pictures and videos.
The way that we decided to tell them was get a Mercer Meyer book, "Grandma, Grandpa and Me" and post the ultrasound picture on the inside cover with the due date.
